Aoibhneas, Dublin - A refuge from domestic violence for women and children
Day 8 - Non-Irish Nationals

16 Days Against Violence

Fayolla told us “I want a better life for my grandchildren!”
Over the last several years there has been an influx of non-Irish nationals entering Ireland seeking asylum .
As we strive to accommodate the many different nationalities and cultures into our society, should we accept their world view unquestioningly?
What if some of their customs are against everything we believe in?
Being P.C. should be about respecting others but not about remaining silent so as not to offend.
There are many organisations in Ireland that are committed to ensuring positive change and social justice for migrant women in Ireland.
Along with the right to be treated as a full Irish Citizen comes the responsibility to accept and embrace Irish laws and the Irish way of life.

....Fayolla dreams of a better life free from Violence & Abuse within Domestic Relationships!
